Climate Change Adaptation: A Global Imperative | Painted Clothes

Climate change adaptation refers to the process of adjusting to the current and future impacts of climate change, with a focus on reducing vulnerability and increasing resilience. According to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), the global community must adapt to climate change to mitigate its worst effects, with estimated adaptation costs ranging from $30 billion to $100 billion per year by 2050. The IPCC's Fifth Assessment Report (2014) highlights the need for adaptation measures, such as sea-level rise protection, drought management, and climate-resilient agriculture. However, adaptation efforts are often hindered by funding constraints, lack of institutional capacity, and conflicting priorities.
